ATI
Certain categories require a Inter‑Island Transport Authorization (ATI) issued by the Biosecurity Department. Procedures are free of charge and may include inspection and/or treatment at Motu Uta (Tahiti) or by the Rural Development Service (SDR) in the islands.
Practical information
- Visual inspection:
You close your parcel after inspection by an authorised agent (except sealed funeral cargo or DG packed under IATA‑DGR rules). Please bring tape, ties, locks, and any material needed for closing.
- Storage fees:
Possible if drop‑off is more than 5 hours before departure in Tahiti or after arrival. Specific rules apply in the islands due to limited or no storage capacity.
- Priority handling:
Live animals, perishables, beekeeping products, medicines/blood, valuables, firearms, AOG, and DG are handled as priority cargo, depending on available load.
